We were just there in May, and our tour bus showed us a small, run-down house in a decent part of Honolulu where the asking price was $880,000.00. Most people who live in Honolulu rent because they can't afford to buy, even when you have two families living in the same house and all four adults are working. I strongly suggest that you check out realty sites like Remax and Century 21 so you'll get an idea of what you're in for. Hi. I'm from Hawaii. The best place might be to look in the Honolulu Advertiser or the Honolulu Star Bulletin newspapers.
