Anyone know some cool hidden-type spots on Maui that arent super touristy? |
Travel Info Anyone know some cool hidden-type spots on Maui that arent super touristy? Travel Tips My husband and I went to Maui at the end of April and we used a book called Maui Revealed. I would recommend it very highly if youre looking for the hidden spots. It was absolutely awesome, and it got us to some amazing places. Be sure to get the newest edition of the book, as we had an old one and it messed us up a time or two. You can get it on Ebay for cheap. Most of the hidden spots are on the road to Hana as the other side of the island (Maalaea, Kihei, Wailea, etc) is the tourist side. And dont listen to the people who tell you not to do the road to Hana. If you get carsick easily, you MIGHT have to stop along the way, but you'll be stopping so much to see things that you'll be fine. A few definites (hidden and otherwise) would be the Venus pool (gotta have the book), Seven Sacred Pools, The Aquarium (book), The Fish Bowl (book), red sand beach in Hana (book), and Halaakalae Crater sunrise. Feel free to message me for directions/and or details of any of the above. I can give you directions if you dont want to bother with the book! Source(s): Maui Revealed Other Travel Tips If I told you, they would be soon infested with a bunch of Yahoo Answser nerds. :) Staffmers cove aka the auilli of muilico Ask a local when you get there There aren't many.......but if we told you, they wouldn't be hidden now would they! Good luck! Take a drive all around the top side of Maui.. everyone goes the lower route to Hana.. Aloha |
