Travel Info When is affordable and weather is good to travel to hawaii? Travel Tips May is the best month that I have seen so far. I have been once in April, four times in early May, and last year in Sept. The weather is stellar in May!!! It does seem more warmer in Sept, but when your in Hawaii, who cares???????? Others Normally, the peak tourist season is late June to early September when alot of Asian (mostly Japanese) tourist are on their summer breaks along with Europeans joining the other North American tourist crowds. And these are normally the hotest months. the other smaller busy season is during the Winter(Jan-March) months when it's cooler in Hawaii but not cold like it is up in Chicago or Boston. It is absolute cheapest during the brief period after the whales leave and before the kids are out of school for the summer, May. Weekdays are the cheapest, and airfare is cheapest if you fly Tue-Thur. May is also the most comfortable month, after rainy season before hot season. 75 at night and 85 during the day. It will rain while you are there, but it will only last a few minutes and you are usually glad for the cool down. Do not travel during Summer time, which of course weather is always good but tickets are expensive which of course you can find cheap tickets online but good luck. Affordable well good luck with that in Hawai'i. I'm from Hawai'i and its expensive all to much. But hey more power to you to visit the islands. I personally am now living in the states and only wish I could round up the money to fly home. But if i had to choose when to go home it have to be when its Winter up here in the states from November to about April. Not much tourist traveling around these times I think, besides who wouldn't want to get out of the cold to go to some warmer weather. Local from Hawai'i |
