What are some family like activities that you can do in Maui? |
Travel Info like swimming, where are good places to eat, shows (what type), is it expense.... Travel Tips Depending on the time of year, whale watching in winter is a top must do. In the summer a snorkel trip to Lanai where you can see many dolphins, always a hit with kids. A trip to the Maui Tropical Gardens allows for a leisurely afternoon and the chance to see all the different things grown on the islands. Snorkeling is tops at so many different beaches they are too numerous to name but the best would be Honolua Bay Or Black Rock Beach. The Maui Ocean Center and aquarium is a favorite of many, displaying the marine life found around the islands. A must do is a luau and the best on all the islands is "The Old Lahaina Luau". Our grandkids absolutely loved it. Whatever you chose to do, you won't find a more beautiful place than Maui to do it. Others With small kids, I realized that it's best to not travel as much. When in Hawaii, my sister and I just stayed at the hotel and swam in the pool and went down the slide. But, we liked going to the ocean and scuba diving and seeing fish. I didn't see any shows, but going to a top of a volcano could be a good idea. As for restaurants, almost all of them are good. By the way, try a Lava Flow. (virgin for the kids of course) It's amazing!!!! Don't plan that many things. You'll just want to relax. Also, when you're there, you'll find things that you want to do for the family.
