Can I get to the Island Air terminal in Honolulu without leaving the secure area when connecting ? |
Travel Info I am arriving on Continental Airlines and Island Airs fares are much lower than Aloha or Hawaiian and I am considering them for a flight to and from Maui. Can I get to the commuter terminal without leaving the secure area and re-entering again? Travel Tips You cannot get to the commuter terminal without leaving the secure area of the main terminal. The quickest way there is to catch a shuttle in front of the main terminal. Or exit at the interisland terminal just past Hawaiian gates and take a short walk to the commuter terminal where you will need to re-enter another secure area. Others Call the airline and ask. No you will have to physically leave the main terminal to get to Island Air. If you already have tickets you should be able to check your bags through to Maui. You may also check Go Airlines, it is our newest carrier and has very competitive rates.. sometimes as low as $39 one way. www.iflygo.com I think there is a pedestrian concourse during the day from the international to the domestic terminal but it closes mid- evening when the domestic flights stop. You may have another security stop tho' these days, once you get to it by that concourse. |
