I think that Houston sucks for you because you are unhappy in your situation. You are not trying to find good things around you and if you only look for things that suck, guess what? That is exactly what you will find. Same thing goes with everything in your life.

I agree with houstonian. There is no "NIRVANA". People that complain about things that they can change drive me crazy. If you're old enough to move, move. If you're not, then hang in there, cause the teen years are only a smidgen of your life. It is what it is, no one can make you do, feel anything. A lot of people are moving to Houston everyday because the low cost of living, hospitality. I just moved from NJ to Katy last october and I am loving every minute of it so far. Maybe houston is not for you, but when you are paying 300k for a 1bedroom condo elsewhere, you will miss houston.

Houston is a city with worldclass amenities of a city without the cost of living of a major city.
