Surfside texas?

Travel Info
Is this a good place to retire and is it cheaper for property than Galveston

Travel Tips
I've only visited Surfside for weekends, and I thought the beaches were better, it was nicer, and a lot cleaner than Galveston.

It has to be cheaper than Galveston, just because Galveston is so built up.

Surfside is much cheaper, better beach access....Draw backs, no sea wall so it floods very easy and you'll have to drive to Galveston for good Grocery Store.
Surfside is a much better beach than Galveston. The plus sides is it is much smaller, less "tourists", less expensive, and more of a rural setting.

The drawbacks are very little dining and grocery establishments, - I believe there is only one grocery in the beach area. There is next to nothing as far as retail establishments go. If you need something, you must make a trip.
Visit Surfside often, considering property purchase.
Not sure whether the places are cheaper but at least they are not as contaminating as Galveston. Surfside is your better choice.
