Anyone have any suggestions of cool houston nightlife events that arent too expensive? |
Travel Info my husband and I and my bestfriend wanna go out but cant think of where to go...anyone got any ideas Travel Tips Look on the Chronicle's website... http://www.chron.com Click the Entertainment link and check out events through the calendar. Also, the Thursday Chronicle has a section that tells all that is going on for the following week. Some of them are free. Yes, there are ballgames, and my wife and I go often, but even with ten dollar cheap seats you'll pay to park (if your lucky for five bucks, most are ten to twenty). Then a $7 beer and a $5 burger for three. There's 70 bucks shot, including tickets. Baseball is no longer a game where you can get a seat in the bleachers, have a beer and nachos and get out of there for ten bucks. Baseball is a business, and they have to pay those salaries somehow... and they're running out of revenue streams. We watch six or seven games a year, but clubhouse seats start at $42 and we only go as a treat. Others If you like sports - go see the astros Astro Fan There are often outdoor concerts.Look in the Sunday newspaper, the information should be listed. They often have operas. See if anything is going on at the museums in the evening. Nothing good I'm sure. Astro's games are cool and you can find tickets pretty cheap. You can check out citysearch.com for any events. the words "houston" and "cool nightlife" are mutually exclusive. sorry. |
