Travel Info How is the attitude in the community of spring, conroe, and humble regarding gay couples raising children? Travel Tips I am a residence of The Woodlands and have resided here for 4 years. The Woodlands is very diverse and accepting of all backgrounds. Quite a few of the residents are from all over the world with different religions, sexual orientations, martial status and ages. I have not ever heard anyone say anything bad about any of these differences. I have no doubt that you would be welcomed with open arms by anyone in The Woodlands. Others steers and queers and you dont have horns To be honest, don't expect to be received with open arms and made an immediate member of the PTA. While the locals won't show up at your front doorstep with pitchforks and torches, they'll probably be frostily polite. Your best bet is one of the inner loop upper income communities. definitely a don't ask, don't tell world. but no hostility when they do find out. Texans tend to be 'leave me alone and don't hurt nobody and you're ok with me." I haven't really taken a poll lately here in my neighborhood. I don't imagine anyone would have a problem with it. Just because it's a conservative area, doesn't mean we are close-minded. I live in Spring. Right around the corner from 2-3 gay couples. They don't have kids, but they are well liked and recieved in the neigborhood Redneck. |
