What are the most expensive areas of Houston to live in? |
Travel Info What are the most expensive areas of Houston to live in? Travel Tips The River Oaks area of Houston, Texas, USA is the most expensive land in the state (per acre). Memorial, Tanglewood, Montrose, Midtown, Uptown, Downtown, West University, Sugarland, Kingwood, The Woodlands, Clear Lake, Galleria, The HeightsRiver Oaks, River Oaks, and River Oaks River Oaks is one of the most expensive, but there is a small section near there called the City of Piney Point. It has a gaurd station at the entrance and exit of the entire neighborhood. If you are not expected, you will not be let in. One of the streets that I can remember is Chevy Chase Avenue. It is very expensive, very exclusive and right in the middle os everything. Now if you mean subburbs... The Woodlands is, but it is about 45 minutes from downtown Houston (with NO TRAFFIC). So probably 90 minutes on a normal afternoon. There's River Oaks, and then there are the Villages that run along Memorial Drive west of 610 and east of Gessner. They include Bunker Hill, Piney Point, Hedwig Village, Hunter's Creek. There are two others on the other side of I-10, and while nice and upper moderate, aren't like their bretheren south of I-10. River Oaks, Montrose, Westheimer, anywhere near a museum, etc. River Oaks, Royal Oaks, The Woodlands, Sugarland, Sienna Plantation, Bellaire, and the Galleria. |
