What is Rosenberg, Tx Like?

Im moving there in a month and i'll be by myself, is it easy to meet people there around my age 20-30 or is it a family or older community?

My parents live there - it's a small community - lots of farms in the area. There's a lot of new growth in the area - lots of new shopping. I would definitely say it's an older community - I'm not sure what the night life is like (or if it even exists). But you will be close to Sugar Land which is a great part of Houston.

Rosenberg is family oriented with lots of church related activities. It is a small community but large enough to have everything you will need. Stafford, Sugarland and Houston will have lots of entertainment and nightlife.
There are TONS of Mexicans. Most of the billboards around streets are in Spanish. However, there is a newer area of Rosenberg close to Highway 59 that I believe is a lot nicer, but Rosenberg, in general, has many many Mexicans.

Be wary of the older parts of Rosenberg. It's like Sharpstown in Houston, except with Mexicans. My wife was robbed at gunpoint there.

I think that the people that live in the newer areas are tired of living in the bigger cities (Sugar Land, Houston, etc) and just want to raise their kids in a smaller town setting.
I lived in Richmond, 5 blocks from Rosenberg.
