What's fun to do in Houston?

Travel Info
My family will be visiting Texas this summer and I'd like some suggestions. I have two sons ages 13 and 8. Thanks for your help!

Travel Tips
Splashtown (a six flag water park) in Spring (I-45 North). http://www.splashtownpark.com/

Space Center Houston (get discount coupons online) in Clear Lake I-45 South. http://www.spacecenter.org/

Kemah boardwalk has rides, carnival games (arcade), shopping and great seafood - also I-45 South (just past Clear Lake). http://www.kemahboardwalk.com/flash_cont...

The Children's museum (http://www.cmhouston.org/) in Midtown Houston or the Museum of Health and Science (http://www.mhms.org/) (all museums are free on Thursdays) are a blast for adults and kids of all ages. Museum of Natural Science (http://www.hmns.org/?r=1) has the new bug exhibit as well as the butterfly exhibit. (also located Midtown).

My all time favorite getaway while living here in Houston is Moody Gardens (http://www.moodygardens.com/) beautiful hotel, aquarium, rainforest exhibits, and white sand beaches - plus it is close the Schliterbhan Waterpark.

Enjoy your vacation.

From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend, the Legend of Voltron, Defender of the Universe, a mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil. As Voltron's legend grew, peace settled across the galaxy. On planet Earth, a Galaxy Alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of the solar system, they maintained peace throughout the universe, until a new horrible menace threatened the galaxy. Voltron was needed once more. This is the story of the super force of space explorers. Specially trained and sent by the Alliance to bring back Voltron, Defender of the Universe.
Well I have been to Houston many times and here are some places I went that I realy liked and your family probly will to: Sesquicentennial park... I think that's how it's spelled...is a really beautiful place, relaxing you'll like it, the minute maid ball park you can watch a game together, or the Space center the kids would like that. Good Luck, have fun!!

Whats fun to do in Houston? Pack and move to Austin.
There are things to do, but you have to search for them. Houston is very muggy and you don't want to be outside for long. I suggest driving to Galveston to see the "beach" and visit Schlitterbong (sp?) Houston does have a Splashtown that is way out in Spring, Texas. Houston has nice museums that you should check out. Good luck.
