i am moving there in a few months from europe to be with my fiance, and i was wondering what is a good place to meet people. preferably even europeans my age (27)! :) im thinking of maybe doing a course or joining something. any ideas?

Personally I love the History behind Galveston, the beach itself is not the most gorgeous, but East beach is fun on the weekends. It's great fishing on the jettys, or you can try sailing at Kemah. As to meeting people try websites like meetup.com or bayoucityoutdoors.com. I'm only 23 but I love doing lots of outdoors activities, while meeting new friends. You can find anything from dog clubs, kayaking, fitness, travel and other groups of you interest all over the US. i dont like galveston too much i live in dallas tx and went to visit there its not that great of a place.
no europeans there nothin but shoobies.
IT REALLY IS A BORING AREA. THE ISLAND HAS BEEN DYING FOR DECADES NOW AND THERE ARE MANY NOT SO NICE AREAS. YOU MAY NEED TO LOOK TO HOUSTON FOR YOUR NEEDS. THERE ARE MANY FOREIGN COMMUNITIES HERE. GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO TEXAS.
