What are some fun things to do in houston? |
Travel Info what are some fun things for teens to do in houston? no too expensive. this would be for the church's youth group of about 10. we need to put some exciting things on the agenda. Travel Tips Here are some suggestions; Galleria for shopping or for the ice skating center, Children's Museum of Houston, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Space Center Houston, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Laser Quest and if you have time to travel towards Galveston area ....there is Kemah Boardwalk ....shopping, rides, food, games .....ect....really nice. In Galveston there is the strand and the beaches and some interesting tours (not expensive) Moody Mansion, and The Bishops Palace ...I enjoyed it.....In Kingwood/Humble area there is mini putt putt golf center (Celebration Station, I believe) and a arcade there as well.....with some go carts and water boats, pretty fun. I wish I could say Six Flags ...but they closed it down ...which was real disappointing but that's all I can think of for now. Whatever you do I hope you have a nice time. Source(s): I live in Houston Other Travel Tips Leave. in texas? it's really hot. I say get alot of sun block and light clothes and be packed with ice cold water and go to the beach. It is soooo hot. If you don't keep useing sunblock you will get sunburns soo soo bad blisters will form. Go to the Galleria and shop til you drop! There are a lot of great museums in Houston. The Menil Collection is free and the MFAH does a free admission day on Thursdays. The Johnson Space Center (south of the city in the Clear Lake area) is cool but kind of pricey (around $18 for adults) - you might be able to get a group rate. If you have time to travel to Galveston, there are lots of things to do there. The Strand has shopping and restaurants plus the trolleys and some museums. We like to take the ferry to Bolivar (which is free) and you can usually see dolphins. http://www.buffalobayou.org/canoetours.h... For $200.00,10 people can charter a boat a go down the Bayous.You pass by all kinds of interesting things including a huge bat colony! |
