3day vacations for people over 50?

we live in ohio and would like suggestions for short trips in other states. we like museums and other interesting sites in the united states.

Eastern west virginia in the spring, during early may is good, antietam, washington dc, in PA there is gettysburg and lancaster. In Vermont go to Burlington and stay at Shelburne Farms at the Inn they have there in the summer, also go to Stowe and ride the gondola or hike to the top of mt manfield in the summer. If you want to fly to halifax, nova scotia for a 4 day thing, i would recommend going to briar island, on the southwest tip of nova scotia, very relaxing, you can even take a day trip from there to cape bretton island and drive the cabot trail, and if you want more time then that go to prince edward island.

West Virginia mid October. Colors are spectacular. Visit Greenbank and the observatory. I helped build it back in the 50's, but that isn't the reason you should go there. Nearby Cass is worthwhile too.
