Where can I go to listen to live local music in the Indy/Hamilton County area? |
Travel Info Where is a good place to listen to live local bands in the Indy (north side) or Hamilton County areas? Travel Tips Several places in Broadripple like the Vogue. I was recently at The Upper Room, above the Broadripple Steakhouse. It is a small but nice martini bar with live jazz/folk/rock music live. Lots of fun. Beer Sellar in Castleton is ok. Others I'd check out the Vogue Theater in Broad Ripple. Downtown there is ther Slippery Noodle -- good live blues most nights. Pick up a copy of the local area magazines In Touch and Nuvo. They are available everywhere, or you can visit them on the web. www.intakeweekly.com www.nuvo.net There is a good list of places to get you started here: http://www.indymotorspeedway.com/citygui... You can also go to Atlanta, IN, which is just north west of Noblesville and go to their music hall on the weekends for swing, jazz, big band, etc. The Vogue in Broad Ripple is great... Also, downtown The Chatterbox is a quaint stop. Also, The Rathskeller .. a German Restaurant w/ Biergarten. Pick up a Nuvo on the streets... it will list MANY options to fit your taste. Locals only - off of keystone Radio Radio - Fountain Square Check out the Beer Cellar on E. 82nd St by Castleton Mall. Good beer specials and music. |
