Unaccompanied Minors will not be accepted for travel on the last connecting flight of the day to their final destination. In addition, Unaccompanied Minors are not accepted on flights which require an overnight stay in order to make a connection. so it looks like you can send you son/daughter as long as you pay an extra fee so the airline is aware at the time of the reservation that a flight attendant will need to keep an eye on the child... Make him walk its a very good sorce of exercise!!! flying is a good way. my dad lives in florida and i live in missouri. when i was younger my parents always met me at the airport and the flight attendants watched over me so that nothing happened. good luck!! A friend of mine just sent his 8yr old son to Texas by himself. He was told by the airlines it was ok as long as some one was there to meet him at the gate. my son use to travel from indy to colorado all the time and he wasnt that old you pay an extra amount and he is assigned an escort they take names and ids then when gets to point a that person has to match the name with proper id then when he returns they do the same thing over again. he loved it the treated him extra special. rememeber one time he had hold of my neck so hard was so glad to see me and the flight attendant was laughing said i still have to see you id . of course this was pre 9/11 |
