Travel Info I've leaving tomorrow from Minneaplis Amtrack station headed to Chicago, then connecting to another train to Indy. What I need to know: 1) Is it really a train or is it a bus that goes from Chicago to Indy?? My tick says a train (#850, forgot the name), but a relative says I will be stuck on a bus? 2) I won't get into Indy until 11:30. Is there a safe place to wait? Mom says that Union Station isn't what it used to be when I lived there! I don't want her to drive down if it's a bad neighborhood, but I don't want to hang out and try to get a cab to the east side either!
Travel Tips
Union Station is not in a bad area it is downtown on Meridian St. You could call a cab from the station and you will be perfectly safe. By the way it will be a train and not a bus. They still offer rides to Chicago from Indy everyday. If you wanted you could walk down Meridian to any number of bars and restaurants and wait there that area has grown quite a bit in the past few years. |
