Does anyone live in Madison Indiana? |
Travel Info I have a chance for a job in Madison Indiana. I am a 33 year old single mom with a 3 year old little girl. Are the schools good? Any parks? How about the single scence for 30 somethings? Any info can help. The chamber of commerce website makes it sound great. But they all do. Travel Tips I use to live in Madison, and live only a few miles away now. It is not very far at all from Cincinatti and Louisville and I would HIGHLY recommend it to you. They have the historical aspects as well as great shopping. It is right on the river and Clifty falls state park is one of the better state parks in Indiana. The schools are great, with an award winning orchestra. Also, Hanover College is one of the most highly acclaimed colleges in Indiana, with is right outside of town. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. Others I haven't been to Madison, Indiana for a while. I am from Columbus, IN and our sports teams are in the same athletic conference so I would go down there for that. I know they have Clifty Falls S.P., but as far as other things to do, I have no clue. I live forty miles away, but I know something about it. In the 1800's Madison was a very important town for Indiana, so you'll find a lot of impressive historical buildings for it, especially the railroad depot and the Lanier mansion. Clifty Falls is a great state park within Madison, with lovely nature trails that aren't too strenuous. Madison isn't know for its nightlife, but there are several casino riverboats nearby, say 30 miles away. |
