Travel Tips
Fort Wayne has great shopping, and a nice Zoo. Yes, the Zoo is a good one, for a town that otherwise isn't so big. The city actually has a very deep and storied past, and was once a polyglot Indian city called Kekionga, probably the largest city of that type east of the Mississippi. It was also a very strategic place. The reconstructed Fort Miami is even still there off a road called "Spy Run", during the war of 1812 Spies used to run around there. ( still, I wonder what you'd get out of the town if you visit there like a tourist. It is more for just living, more just a place to buy a used car, and even those who live there are mostly ignorant of all this.) Johnny Appleseed park is there too, and a nice one. Yes, he was from Ft Wayne.
If you have to live there, that is another matter. And if you have a car, you can visit lakes and counties all around there, particularly to the north, and do some hunting and fishing and canoeing , particularly in Mongo, but also just in Fort Wayne. I like it there, but I also have to ignore the bad side.
I just hope you don't get stranded there.
