TERRORIST ORGANISATION in INDONESIA?! Are they just such a JOKE or REAL THREAT...?!? |
Travel Info My Singaporean friend warns me that although there is no war in Indon, she said that some socio/religio (read: Islam) organisation are still uprising, and they have such certain hatred toward Western people... especially American! Sweeping the Western Tourists is their agenda! Is it really true? I've read about those organisation from such realiable source like Wikipedia... it seems that my friend told me the truth! Any Indonesian here to explain? If they're such real threat, I will cancel my plan of backpacking in Indonesia at once!! Terrorist Organisations that my friends told me are: (hope I spell it correct here!) 1) LASKAR DJIHAD 2) FRONT PEMBELA ISLAM 3) FORUM BETAWI REMBUG 4) JEMAAAH ISLAMIAH Why do these terrorist act so stupid? Giving such bad credit toward your motherland? I want to visit your country, but now I have some doubt about Indonesia here.... PS: Any other socio-religio or terrorist organisation that I should avoid in Indon? Travel Tips yes, there are terrorist in indonesia. and what they after is the chinese-indonesian people and the western. Some of them hate USA really bad for what they doing to Irak, and since it's difficult to distinguish between the USA and other white people they attack all the the white. However they are only 1% of Indonesia citizen, so you shouldn't worry. Just come to visit Indonesia. You could visit Bunaken in Manado, Tangkuban Perahu in Bandung, Borobudur Temple in Jave or pepper beach in Lombok. I'm really sure that those place are safe. And for your information, some of those terrorist organization got their fund from Bush, in order to make Indonesia in cheos. Others hmmm...such a fool answer you choose... try to live there...then you'll know terorrist never distiguish if tou are black or white people...once they set an action any civillian will receive their consequences no matter who you're...couse they consider it as collateral damage true, true, true. absolutely true. As for your latter questions, America is viewed in a similar light by no few. Both are simplistic nationalistic reductions of the true situation to servicable size for quick assessment. Do you soon forget the bombing in Bali? That was done at a western night club popular with tourists. That was done to kill westerners, specifically Americans. The world is not a safe place and has been made even more unsafe by religious socio-paths bent on killing in the name of God/Allah. They are just as dangerous , if not more so, as Nazi Germany was in WW2. Unfortunately, they comprise not one or more countries, but organizations which are throughout the world and in all countries including the USA. I woudl suggest you go the the CIA website and read up on terrorism and in specific, terrorism in Indonesia. You will learn a great deal about what is going on their. |
