Travel Tips You can start with a simple things, such as: - Put a readable banner outside your hotel, perhaps with some special discount on special hour. - Put sign on the lobby and lift. - Hold a competition in the restaurant and open for public, let's say "how many kgs of meat you can eat in hour?" contact MURI to record the time and weight. - Insert the menu (flyer) as part of guest's guide directory in every room. - Put ad on food directory in Jakarta (if any) either printing ad or online ad. Word-of-mouth also quite powerful, hence invite famous chef, celebrity, politician or any high profile person in the country. At the end you have to maintain the quality (food and services), add more value added to the customer (live band, big screen tv for football / F1 fans, country music, etc), well still many things that you can do, begin with simple things around the hotel first then expand the promotion. Others cook good food at a good price, advertise, and don't short shots at the bar. Certainly a rare experience since steakhouses are not the normal sought after cuisine. Advertise your menu locally in news media. Come up with new creations like 'Surf & Turf'. . . .lobster with steak . . . etc.. Write and article about the night spots in Jakarta and feature it with photos. . . .sell Garuda and Merpati on the idea to feature it in their airline magazine.
