Indonesia for vacation? |
Travel Info I'm thinking of travelling to Indonesia but the thing is i don't know where to go. I kindda like those relaxing places where where i can shop at the same time enjoy the sun,sand & the sea. I've been to Bali it was wonderful. Can anyone help me with suggestion... Travel Tips Try Lombok. It's the island over from Bali and is really nice. More rural and maybe a little harder to get around language- wise. But the amazingly clear water makes it worth it! The under sea life is spectacular. Much better than Bali. I've been to both islands and I much prefer Lombok. There are many small islands off of Lombok and if you can get there for a day trip the snorkeling is great. It's really good right in front of the many hotels as well. Sometimes there are bigger waves, but many places have more calm waters. I would stay in the Sengigi area (touristy hotel area) as opposed to in Mataram (main city) because then you're right at the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and things to do wherever you stay. Source(s): experience... Other Travel Tips Go to Sumatra. Especially West Sumatra and North Sumatra. not far from Bali I would also suggest Lombok, wilder, not as developped but with some nice hotels too. off the coast spend a few days at the gili islands, remote and quiet. Do not expect shopping or anything besides sunbathing, walking and relaxing at the Gilis. Lombok or Manado! If you just want to enjoy the sun, sand and sea.. You can go to Ujung Kulon.. They have to best view, cleanest sand and beach. Plus you can enjoy Krakatoa island from a distance.. Shop ?? How about Yogyakarta.. they also have great beach and sand... And also great shopping places. Some part of North Sumatra, like Nias island will also great for vacation.. man.. you're making me miss home..:(( Lombok! totally! have fun :) |
