Anyone knows whether Jakarta or Bandung is a better to buy fancy cloth for traditional wedding outfit?

Travel Info
I am thinking of going to Indonesia to buy cloth to make my traditional Malay wedding outfit. Friends have suggested that I go to Jakarta or Bandung. However I only have time to go to one place. Anyone knows whether I should go to Jakarta or Bandung? Which has nicer cloth? What about costs?

Travel Tips
Jakarta! bandung is for outlets stuffs. for traditional malay, you should go jakarta, there are designer class to non designers. if you wanna spend millions of rupiah (1 rm aprox 2350 Rp, 1 us$ is 8900 Rp) you can go to iwan tirta (panglima polim) or house of adjie (adji notonegoro, between jl barito and panglima polim)
or you can go to tanah abang or cipadu for material only.
other batik there is danar hadi (solo style) in melawai raya (near barito) or in jl supomo... near by there is also sida mukti (jogya style) check it out.. you can run it down in 1 day full. anyway, andung is only 1,5 hour from jakarta during weekdays (recomended, no traffic jam in bandung)
hope this helps:) Source(s): i'm indonesian
Other Travel Tips
I think it's Bandung. Bandung have many clothes factory. I'm sure you can sort it out.
Should be Bandung. Trust me, they got many Factory Outletsssssss (I'm overing the S to hyperble it)... :D Have a nice wedding... :D
If you are talking about the cloth, not the outfit, it is definitely Jakarta. Go to Tanah Abang, the biggest cloth shopping center in (they say) in South East Asia. You'll find a wide range of cloth - the types and the prices. Bandung is worth visiting too, it's only 2 hours away from Jakarta, but it's more to ready-to wear clothes.
My experience
Bandung
there is so many colletion selling the traditional.
