In the past, Indonesia as a state had maintained a very intimate relationship with People's Republic of China as well as USSR. Many of our scholars were sent to these countries, and they supported Indonesia's army ie training elite forces, providing warfares (battle ships, submarines, guns like AK-47, jet fighters like MIG).

But during the 1965 "revolution" there is a great & dramatic change in Indonesian politics. In October, 1st 1965, Seven Generals from Indonesian Army were assasinated by Indonesian Army troopers. And this incident is still a controversy (even until now). No one knows who actually killed the 7 Generals. Some say that it was Pres Sukarno himself, while others speculate that General Suharto (later Pres Suharto) did it.

Recent facts show that CIA had a major contribution in supporting General Suharto and blaming Indonesian Communist Party (PKI). In fact, the terms "Gestapu" and "G30S" were ordered by CIA. And CIA did ACKNOWLEDGE the assasination plan 1 WEEK BEFORE. But the person who ordered the assasination is stil a mystery.

Colonel Untung who commanded the assasinations indeed served Suharto for 6 years in the Diponegoro headquarter & KOSTRAD was very close & loyal to him. And the seven generals who were killed were Suharto's oppositions in the Army. And it is odd that Suharto ,who was the 3rd in charge in the Army, was not a target of the assasination.

However Suharto blamed PKI for that, and ordered a major homicides of PKI members, families, relatives, labours, etc. This killings had taken at least 200,000 lives (500,000 lives reported by Amnesty International) including the innocents who were not involved. And Suharto disavowed diplomatic affairs in all forms with PRC & USSR. Later in 1990 at the end of the Cold War pres Suharto restored the diplomatic relationship with those countries.

Recently Indonesia bought a Sukhoi Squadron & military warfares from the Russia Federation. In fact Indonesia now has a very close relationship with PR China and Russian Federation. They recommended & approved Indonesia's current membership in the UN's security council.

Many WNI Cina hate by Indonesia real people (pribumi / Indonesia people with father, and father from father Indonesia too) because they power economi-industri & dont loyal to Indonesia and little sosial (sedekah) to the poor people & Islam

Strange question I think... The answer is maybe the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) members... The members are all of the South East Asia nations like Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, etc... Another country is Japan... As far as I know, Japan has very close relationship with Indonesia. Japan even has a Japanese Foundation in Indonesia for sharing culture. China and Russia is not very close but Indonesia has a economic relationship with them. Indonesia buying his military equipment from Russia now since the U.S decide to put military sanction upon Indonesia.

As you can see in the site provided, we have numerous of friends especially in terms of diplomatic with almost every country in the world and I must say that our foreign relation has been extremely overwhelming. The only country that we don't engage diplomatic relation with is Israel and Taiwan. Hope this helps.

if you have a Indo passport it says that the places that are not alowed to go in is Taiwan and Israel.... so I that means that all countries are friends with Indonesia except those.... Believe me, even North Korea
