Depends...in some area (Business district like Sudirman , Thamrin, Kuningan area) people follow the sign.....
In some more sub-urb area....you can find motorcycles crossing from different direction toward you!
Just take care of your line, make sure that you follow all necessary sign.

the traffic quite busy and can make you headache and get nervous
I've only driven in Bali where the motto is "Expect the unexpected"....

You can forget anything you know, in fact you're responsable for anything in front of you. Car will join your road from left or right without even checking incoming traffic. It's the responsability of the drivers on the main road to avoid joining traffic...

All in all it's fun. I've heard that Bali is nothing compared to Jakarta.....
Generally, terrible. Especially in Java. But if you have the spirit of being Michael Schumacher or seeing yourself taking the shoot for The Fast and Furious, it's the perfect place to practice.
if u can drive good in Jkarta that mean u can drive in everywhere.
