Travel Info Whare is the best place to visit in Bali for honeymoon? Travel Tips If you want serenity and quiet time for you and the missus, try Ubud. It's the artistic side of Bali and not as commercial as Kuta beach or the Seminyak area. (nice hotels/villas there too: Begawan Giri, Four Seasons among others). These hotels are pretty expensive though. Otherwise, check out my answer to someone who asked the same question as you did: I went to Bali for my honeymoon. We stayed at the Conrad Hotel (80 bucks per night), but there are tons of cheaper accomodations available, ranging from 20 bucks to well over 1,000 bucks per day. The following site gives you a good information on cheap accomodations, must visit sites (these places are frequented by tourists, but they are a must visit when you come to Bali) and other useful information you might need (visas, tipping, weather, etc). http://www.balilastminute.com/ If you don't want to keep bumping into tourists, I suggest going during the off-peak season like middle of January (the time I went there, it's quiet, and few tourists). Don't go during the summer school holiday or Christmas holiday. Very packed and you won't get a good bargain on a lot of things. Others It depends - if you want a retreat head to Ubud - there are some fantastic places to go. If you want to get away from the crowds but still see the sea head to the peninsula around by Jimbaran and check yourself into the Four Season. Check out the fish! Sleep in one of the two Sheratons at Nusa Dua. Relieve your jetlag with a spa visit or by hiring a masseur (very affordable) Spend the day on a guided culture or art & history tour around the island Go surfing at Uluwatu Watch the sunset either at Tanah Lot or go to Jimbaran to have fresh grilled seafood dinner under the stars. If you're into traditional culture, catch a Tari Kecak or Sendratari after dinner (ask the locals for more information). If you're more into partying, go hit the club downtown (ask your hotel for more information) Have fun! The best beach in Bali is Pantai Kuta, this is the most wonderful sandy beach I've ever seen, you can do sun bathing nakedly. If you are a good bargainer, I suggest you to go to Pasar Sukowati, the cheapest traditional market where you can get various hand made stuff and souvenirs.
