Indonesian life?

its the place my heart tells me to be.
is their any one out there who is living in bali as an expat?
was it hthe right decision?

Considered it. Have you ever been there? Indonesia is a very varied country. I definitely wouldn't go and live on Bali, but I would go west from there. How you gonna make money? Pitfalls are really the same as anywhere. Got to have money to live and enough common sense to avoid the scams. Same as everywhere...

Note that Thea is Indonesian and could have very different experiences to a foreigner. I found the people on Bali the least friendly in Indonesia and the absolute worst for constant scams. The people on Java were frinedlier by far. Wonderful... Source(s): Travelled there and have friends who lived there.

Many muslims and some of them are terrorist.
My wife is from there, Indonesia. There has been two bombing at Bali. Too many of those Muslim people.
1. there aren't so many Moslems in Bali, most of them prefer Hindu as a religion. and although there are religion differences, they all live together in a very good harmony ('coz they really respect their local culture)
2. Balinese are the most friendly people i've ever known.
3. some terorists not only live in Indonesia. they live at another countries, too (UK for examples - as there was a bomb exploded there also, and even in the USA...)
4. Bali has good food, good surroundings, fresh air, great beaches.

even i'm not expat and i'm not living in Bali, i believe that it definitely is a right decision to be there!
