Area of Bali to stay in?

Looking at going to Bali in about 5 months, many of the areas sound very relaxing. Just wondering my friends and I would love an area that isnt too urban but we want clubbing/party scene in Bali not to be too far away any ideas?

clubbin? what kind of clubbers you are. personally i went to & stay at Seminyak area, it is near cafes & clubs (there are double six, amnesia, etc - beachfront club - *progressive, trance, and such things). check the beatmag bali section for free gig guide http://www.beatmag.com
