Heading to alcudia,majorca? |
Travel Info going on hols next week to alcudia,majorca. whats the weather been like?,any good excursions? any names of good restaurants, steak places, ordinary food, no pastas,chinese, italian,etc. Travel Tips Hi i dont really know about Alcudia i went there 6 yrs ago and enjoy it alot.The weather in majorca is very hot at the mo about 30.32 lovely.Im also going to cala millor majorca in 5 wks so lets hope the weather stays hot for me.Have a nice time and keep the sun there for me. I've been to alcudia twice, it is a family resort and it also has it's own water park, the beach is second to none, the weather has been hit and miss for last several weeks but averaging about 30 degrees. Excursions- son a mar is a good one and the pirates is also a good one, a daytime excursion would be the caves of drach. There are plenty of good restaurants but they and the drinks are a little more expensive than the rest of the island. There is the new part of alcudia were all the Brit bars are and there is the marina part which is a little more like Spain. Enjoy your hols! Been to alcudia 4 times! I love it there!. Weather has only rained once for me, and it was torrential but it was only for a day. Other than that weather is always nice when I go around the 26th of July. A family member took an excursion and be warned some companies put them all in a room before they left and had a sales pitch. They came home with a mattress!. A few years ago we took a trip out to "western water park" which is magaluf way which is a lot better than the one in Alcudia. Beach is lovely, goes on forever!. However last year there was a problem with Jellyfish as there was pretty much everywhere in the med! I never got stung, but a local guy did and it looked painful. Check this out to see if there are any problems this year, I think it may have passed. Restaurants, My favourite is EL Tabel which is Playa de Muro way, which is probably too far. Not the best food but the waiters are amazing!. Have a lovely holiday. Try the glass bottom boat that goes around the coast to Formentor (although you can also get a bus to Puerto Pollensa and then to Formentor, possibly a direct bus from Alcudia town, the views are spectacular) and spend the day at the beach in Formentor. Also, the hotel at Formentor is worth a view- I got lost in the gardens! Don't go to the water park. I went on the last day of the holiday. By the time I got home, I was in A&E with a serious eye infection and scratched corneas. All because of that water park. Not to mention that I had burns (not sun burn) on my arms from the big flume. For really good (but well prices) restaurants, get the bus to Puerto Pollensa (15 mins) and get something in the town square or one of the little side streets. |
