What do you think of Golf Del Sur? |
Travel Info for me and my girlfriend. Found a cheap deal all incl to agamarina golf hotel in july- is it gonna b ne gd? Travel Tips Golf Del Sur is a developing area not far from Reina Sofia Airport in the south of Tenerife. Nice quiet resort, very convenient for Reina Sofia and the TF1 if you're going to tour the island at all. Noted the comments about the aircraft noise. Didn't bother us at all, in fact it was fascinating watching the planes come in. The San Blas area is about a ten minute walk and is very attractive in the evening. Quite a lot of construction work going on but that's life in a newish resort. Restaurants were above average, and I would recommend the Indian for sit in or takeout, and the staff were very friendly. Well worth a walk over to Los Abrigos to the harbour area it's really pretty. The area is truly ideal for golfers. They will enjoy it. We did not go for the golf but for a family holiday and we did not want the bald headed football shirt wearing tattooed brigade near us.And this is just the place to escape them. The resort is laid back. There are no nightclubs loud music etc.There is a lot of building going on but its hard to escape this anywhere in Tenerife. Ideally you need a car if you are in this resort as to get the best out of this area you will need to drive although I believe there are buses but we never used them. Plus points -its quiet and laid back minus points you need a car realistically -no beach either-too much building work going on(as at feb 2007) Lastly if you do go here avoid the chineese restaurant buffet (No 1 I believe its called) It was the worst food I ever tasted There you go... thats the resort.. now the hotel....
