Israel, if you go, you will be surprised, i thought the same as you but Israel is a lovely place full of different idividuals and is a very spiritual place, people over there don't want war, everyone i met muslims and jews, just want peace, so just go to Israel and discover it. Israel grants freedoms to all its citizens, including Muslims, that they would never dream of achieving in neighboring Arab countries. About 20% of Israel's populations are Arabs, and they are NOT oppressed! In fact, they have the same rights, but fewer obligations than Jews. They have free access to all forms of education and any job, same as Jews do. They enjoy free speech, are represented in the Knesset (parliament), serve in national institutions (one Supreme Court Justice is Arab) and so on. The gap between the Israeli Arabs and the Jewish population is narrower than similar gaps in Western Europe, between the native European population and the local Muslims (Arabs in France, Turks in Germany, Pakistanis in England). If this were a justification to call it "apartheid", then most of the world would be guilty of it. |
