What is famous about Beit Shemesh?

Travel Tips
Beit Shemesh has a big religious community, and it's close to Jerusalem, in the beautiful(!!) Judean hills. There's few remains of the ancient city. In Nevi'im (prophets) in Kings A there's the story of the aron (ark of covenant) being brought back from the Phillistines through Beit Shemesh. Today, it's a growing community... there's a train station (TA-Jerusalem) and I'm pretty sure there's a college.

Lol, seriously American bubble. There are a lot of Americans there.
But I also saw lots of Ethiopians recently! And Russians, too! And of course there are tons of regular Israelies also.

nothing , just a small town near Jerusalem, no interesting sites, no archaeological items, just a boring town, some years ago many religious and fanats moved there.
It is not famous for anything, really.... Many families have been moving into Beit Shemesh since some moderately priced apartments have been built in the area. A new development named Ramot Beit Shemesh has attracted young families into the area as well.
its an american bubble... lol
