If you're going with several other people, then I recommend hiring a cab. It costs about $40-$50, which isn't so bad if you split it among 5+ people. Otherwise, I would recommend taking an Egged bus from either Merkaz train station (on the corner of Arlozorov and Namir streets) or from the Central Bus Station. The ticket costs just under $4 if my math is right. if you are using public transportation the best way is to take the 480 bus from Tel Aviv railways station.
