What is the value of learning Modern Hebrew for a two week trip?

Travel Info
I will be going to Israel for the first time in less than two months. I know how to read the Biblical Hebrew alphabet (with the vowel markers), but don't know any Modern Hebrew. I am a Native English speaker and have acquired two East Asian languages and I learn languages relatively quickly. I enjoy learning languages. I know that they speak fluent English in Israel. So what are the benefits, if any, for me to learn in this short time frame.

Travel Tips
The joy of learning the language, I guess.

Almost all Israelis speak English and most of us speak it rather fluently, so you don't have to learn Hebrew in order to communicate.

If you don't have much time to learn it properly, I suggest you to leave it and try to catch some important words and phrases.

Characters with Nikkud (vowel marks) are pretty rare in our everyday life, but the alphabet is the same alphabet and if you read the bible fluently you shouldn't have any problem.
By the way- the different Hebrews are not THAT different from one another, and if you speak one you can surly understand and speak them all. The differences between the Biblical Hebrew and the Modern Hebrew are stylistic only (order of the parts of speech and such).

Others
You are correct that most people in Israel (especially those involved with tourism) know English.
It would not hurt to know a few words or phrases when you encounter someone that does not know English.

No need.

I've been there over 40 times and have never bothered.
If you want to know anything ask any kid. They all learn it in school.

The other alternative is to stand on the pavement and call out, "Can anybody speak English? I need some help" and you'll find an American or Brit will approach you.
No need. Most Israelis speak English. A good # speaks French too. Unless you are interested in the language, yo do not have to learn it
