Straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. It is very hot and social life revolves going to each others houses normally. Drink is rationed, you receive vouchers which you can exchange at local shops and I think the amount is related to your wage. Driving over there is horrendous, its every man for himself, but my friend can give you all the info you need, she has been there for years. Good luck in your new venture Others It is very hot there. Er..Dubai is in the UAE not Israel! My friend is on his second stint working out there at the moment and he quite likes it. Plus they have the world's largest indoor snow slope in the middle of the desert! Best thing tho is no tax! no it is horrible they are all cannibals and vampires and speak dead weird ,also they drink each others urine on a rota basis osama bin laden very nice place traffic very busy during mornings and evenings drink very expensive other than that its cool Not sure why you have posted this under Israel - more UAE! I have a friend who has just come back from Dubai after 4 years. The salary is great and not taxable. It is more liberated than many of the Arab states in that you can obtain alcohol and walk around freely. Being a tourist destination they are more tolerant to westerners, especially women. The accommodation for foreign workers is generally of a good standard. They have some great hotels with entertainment and health clubs, good sports facilities and two really nice popular racecourses. Along with a lovely hot climate, your friends and family will be happy to visit. The super airport also serves many destinations around the world that you will be able to afford easily, given the salary and cost of living. Enjoy, I wouldn't say no!!!! |
