What kind of guns am i allowed to buy in Israel? |
Travel Info I know you can get a gun for self defence, but is there a limit for the ammount of weapons you posses and their kind? For example am i allowed to own any of the following: *RPG *m4a1 *AT-4 *BGM-71 TOW *Bendix Rim-8 Talos *LGM-30 Minuteman *SS-1 *Taepodong-1 *Galil ARM I am not in the millitary, so is there no limit to what i can own or can i only posses pistols and old shotguns? Is there a category of weapons that are for Self Defence? I need to know if it is possible to own any of the weapons i mentioned in the list for self defence, even if they are just for show. Thanks. Travel Tips Why should guns be allowed? Isn't that dangerous... OMG .. what a blood thirsty place to go to.. Others i was there three years ago and learnt that most people have guns and seems no limit on what kind they own. one cafe owner carried a pistol with him at all times and had a collection of guns and rifles at his home, (protection) he had some sort of automatic machine guns but don't know what type You can't buy a gun in Israel without registration and as you have no permanent address in Israel or a Israeli ID, I doubt it if anyone will sell you a gun. You can read this blog even though its from 2002 the situation has not changed much. http://www.jpfo.org/derfner-people.htm... Thomas, if you are a Israeli and have a permanent address and an ID why do you ask here? Why not ask the Ministry of Interior who is in charge on the gun issue in Israel? I wonder. I think it depends a lot about where you live. a settler in the West bank or a farmer in the Negev is allowed to be more armed than a person that lives in Tel Aviv. It also depends on if you have been in the army or if you are currently in the army. buy banana it's very good there. the only gun you can buy is a toy gun!! unless you are a soldier or a police man you can't go around with weapon... or you need a license to carry a pistol and I don't know who or why they get it It is very difficult to get a gun in Israel unless as stated in a answer above, by soldiers, police, and civil protection. You have to meet specific requirements. One cannot just buy a gun, and most people it is hard to gut a license. My bet is that you wont be able to buy weapons in Israel. |
