Holiday in Israel? |
Travel Info Is Tel Aviv an expensive place to visit in June. Could anybody advise a decent tour operator or would it be cheaper to book flights and hotels seperatley. What is average price for 4* hotel. There are no children travelling. Thank you. Travel Tips Hello, from personal experience the booking.com works great for me. You can find good offers, reviews and ratings from guests (a great tool to decide based on other people bad or good experience). I'm using it the last three years and I didn't have any problems. The hotels and the rooms were exactly as I red on site. The maps also gives you an idea where the hotels reside. The reservation process is easy and you don't need to pay with credit card. Enjoy your travel to Israel. Source(s): Hotels in Israel: http://www.booking.com/country/il.html?a... and http://www.cheaptickets.gr/travel/lodge/... Other Travel Tips Tel Aviv is generally an expensive place to visit in general. While not quite as expensive as major European cities, it's not an easy city on the wallet either. Personally, I would consider looking into to doing hotels and flights separately so as to allow you the most flexibility to see the country at your liesure. The national bus service, Egged, offers good day (or multi-day tours) that show you different sections of the country for about $55-$70 a day. I would recommend looking into these day tours. Average price for a 4* hotel is about $120-$150+. I would recommend that you spend a little extra and stay in a 5 star hotel or a highly-recommended 4-star hotel. Israeli 3-star hotels, from my experience, are on par with 1 star hotels in the US. So a 4-star hotel could be anywhere from a 2-star to a 3-star hotel in the US. I can give you an EXCELLENT tour guide! I just returned from a 2-week tour to Israel. his name is Shmulik Eitan & his email address is: happyguy@netvision.net.il Enjoy! Cheapest flights? Israir who fly from Stanstead (If you're flying from England) Tel Aviv? Far too busy. Hotels expensive. Stay in Netanya. More of a holiday resort. Loads of good restaurants so go self-catering. The bottom half of of Israel is mainly desert so Netanya is a far better place for touring the top half of the country. The average price for a hotel in Tel Aviv in June is between $140 and $165. You can get a decent hotel as cheap as $103 per night http://www.unusedrooms.com/specials/hote... . I would recommend you book your flights, hotels and tours seperately. We just did a 4 month trip around Europe and the USA and booked all our accommodation the day before searching for standby hotel Israel (example). We saved at plenty. |
