Israel, when to go??

OK i really want to go to israel.. in the pictures it's gorgeous and would really help with my Hebrew... I also hear everyone say how great it is and they miss it so much i wanna know what i'm missing... would it be safe to traavel to israel.. if not when would the safer time be... any ideas?

Travel Tips

I know that many people worry about safety in Israel, especially when it comes to travellers. The intifada is basically over, as the Palestinians have many internal issues to work out, so their focus is more inside the Territories.

That said, I must admit that I have never ever had a problem with safety...both when I visited and after moving to this country years ago.

One thing I always explain to people is that when it comes to safety, in the States, I never, ever, ever went out alone at night because I was so worried about the random attacks on people. In Israel, I rarely ever even thought twice when going out alone.

Media makes Israel seem very unsafe, but in reality, it is probably 5 times safer than the States.

You will definitely fall in love with this tiny country!

Its safe to travel, any time. Just buy a ticket and come. Its a wonderful country, has so much to offer. Enjoy your visit.

i agree with you, indeed it's gorgeous country but Israelite forces are Subvertsing it's beauty by the bloody crims which they do against the Weaponless palestinian people ...HOWEVER their media Falsifies the truth..

YOU ASK ABOUT THE SAFER TIME!!?it will be the same time when israel get out of Palestine.. at then you can visit it and enjoy it's beuty believe me you will find your self welcome & safe more than any time before..

did someone really say "weaponless" palestinian people? weaponless? I have no problem with people being pro-palestinian, but weaponless? That's not even close to truth. Everyone knows they have weapons, people just debate whether using them is just.
Anyway, Israel is a safe country. Come any time that works for you.
