Others Palestine.Israel is just plain cruel,always making war with Lebanon and Palestine...and for you under me.. Palestine was in the Middle East BEFORE israel came so it's not Palestinians who are israeli's...WE arabs dont like Israel for their constant war with us.But everyone has their opinion.. Me You're asking this in an Israel forum. This is a rhetorical question, right? In response to the person above, what do you want to compare? Literacy? Media freedom? Women's rights? Due process of law? Open-mindedness towards others? Education systems? Human rights? Economic progress? (the Palestinians have done a good job screwing themselves in this regard, with or without Israel's involveent) Israel isn't perfect, but find for me one thing that the Palestinians have managed to do 'better' in the last 59 yrs. And if you don't believe me, then ask yourself why some1.2 million Palestinians who claim Israeli citizenship and reside within Israel proper instead of their homeland, Gaza/the West Bank. first define the word "better" Who is the occupier. Israel is true Answer. Do people love the Occupier? I do not think so. Israel get the most negative reaction world wide for its occupation of a land that was never part of Israel. I'm not sure what you mean by better. Israel has brought far more improvements to the world than the Palestinians have. All I can think of that belongs to Palestinians is the concept of the "bomb-belt" and suicide bombing. I don't mean that negatively, but I personally can't think of anything else. Israel on the other hand is a pioneer in the high-tech and technology industries, and a world leader in agriculture and irrigation. Despite the land of Israel laying fallow for over a thousand years, the returning Jews have made it bloom. But once again, how does one define better? I suppose the best way to look at it is which country would more benefit the world. Being as the arab countries in general support terror, suppress the faiths and opinions of those who disagree with them, do not have a due process of law, do not belive in civil rights, do not believe in women's rights in particular, do not embrace democracy, and despite the billions that they have made from oil leave their citizens to live in squalor as the monarchs pad their own pockets, I have to say that Israel is the better choice. It is a western democracy that believes in freedom and human rights and strives to create a better life for its citizens. Israel has only been waging constant war because it has been constantly attacked. The hate arabs feel for Israel I suppose IS because Israel fights constant war; Israel refuses to lose despite the best attempts of those surrounding it. The numerous attacks all proved futile. As a last point I would point out that there is no Palestine and never was according to the present definiton. Palestine has never existed as an autonomous entity, and definately not under the control of those who call themselves "Palestinians" today. While on the other hand, Israel has existed in the hands of the Jews as an autonomous entity. |
