Travel Info Has anyone been in Beer Sheva (Israel)? What is like to live (life style) over there? Travel Tips Personally, I'm not crazy about it, but I know people who study at the university there, absolutely love it! so if you're looking to study there, it is highly recommended! you'll be having the time of your life! (I've been trying to look up nice websites for you to look at, but oh boy! can't find anything attractive... The only nice page I found was this: http://www.seattle.gov/oir/beershev.htm)... Others It's in the Negev desert, pretty poor, very ugly, and about 2 hours drive from the nearest nice city. It's in the roasting desert. Ugly as hell. Lots of bedouins. I've heard there's a raging party culture amongst the Israelis though. Beer Sheva is very much a city under developement. Right now it's in the intermediate stages, meaning it isn't so attractive but there is promise for the future. The biggest issue with Beer Sheva is that the Negev desert is not very developed, meaning there aren't great jobs in the area. As a result, the economic strength of the city is limited. However, Israel is taking an interest in developing the Negev and especially in turning Beer Sheva into a capital city of the Negev. One improvement is a relatively fast train from Beer Sheva to Tel Aviv - an attempt to turn Beer Sheva into a suburb of Tel Aviv to stimulate the economy there. It isn't so great compared to the other cities of Israel, but I think there's certainly potential there. well, it's a city with a university and a hospital... because of the fact that there are many students, there are many places to go out... but generally it's not a very pretty city, old city actually. and there are manyyyyyyyyyy Bedouins. the transportation is cheaper then other cities http://www.bgu.ac.il/ http://travel.webshots.com/album/2336730... beer sheva is the new name of beer sabea the life there is the best as the nature is still not spoiled |
