When did it checked that this sea is dead? |
Travel Info When did it checked that this sea is dead? Travel Tips fact is there is no fish able to survive in the dead sea although living organisms have been found in it-and an attempt to change the name to 'The Living Sea' was done but people are not taking to that name-it is a source of minerals and salt especially potash which is sold around the world for fertalizer I have bath dead sea salts, and other products from the dead sea that I use and they work fine including foot cream. . If you go to swim in the mineral bath known for its fitness help to people-of the dead sea you will float very high because of the mineral content of the water compared to the weight of a person. It is at the end of the Jordan River in Israel-just incoming and as the water evaporates the mineral deposits carriend into the sea become more concentrated- its actual name is the Sea of Salt or Salt Sea in Hebrew=Yam HaMelach there is a lesson in this too as a Jewish person-when I only took in -and didnt give out like the living sea of Galalee that flows into the dead sea-I was a living dead sea- finally I believed our Jewish prophets like Isaiah and not only took in His words but took in the Messiah too and share His truth and love with others now in living ways too. Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us will be born a child, a Son will be given, and he will be almighty God and the prince of peace/Shalom." best wishes and true care shalom princess, Sweet pea Others dead sea?? As a matter of fact it's not. In Hebrew it's called the salt sea, which has been verified many times over. In English it's called the Dead Sea because people float like corpses in there (I believe). Dead sea = No fish live in it! . . Because it's saltish . ;) and umm you know the "Black Sea" is sad on it ! cuz its dead lol . It is called the Dead Sea because the great amounts of salts and minerals that are in the water do not support life, and so there are no living creatures in the Dead Sea (that is actually called Sea of Salt in Hebrew: Yam HaMelach). Well , if the saltiness hasn't prevented living things from surviving in it then maybe the cutting off of its' lifeblood , the Jordan River , has ! It will soon be little more than a dead puddle unless someone wakes up & does something ! |
