Of course this depends on what you want to do but how much is it to get a falafel or a simple cheap meal? How much for a beer in a club and how much for a bottle of wine in a store? Thank you!

not really. at times it is more expansive that New York. But i think in general it is about the same. As far as i remember a falafel is about 5-6 shekels? But i wouldn't bet on it right now.

what you do and if you are smart about your money you don't have to spend a lot. the beginning of 06 falafel was about 12 nis. alcohol at all is not cheap in a club. and for the cheapest bottle of wine about 40nis alcohol is cheapest on the kibbutz. bottle of rum for 20 nis. cheap rum.lol. look to not spend more than 30nis for a decent meal with a tip.
i am living in israel for 22 years...so here is a small list for you:

1 USD = 4 NIS

Flafel+drink = 14 NIS
Local Beer in a bar (0.5 L) = 20 NIS
Good wine bottle in a big store = 35-45 NIS
Big Family pizza + cola = 50 NIS
8 grams of hash = 200 NIS
like in usa, may be about 20% less, and about 30% less than
N.Y.
tel aviv is not cheap!!! at all!!!
