Well to your second question after aliyah you are a citizen and you can join in anything a sabra could.But to your first question Jewish men and women have to be over eighteen and they would serve for three years. Funny thing to ask on here. If you are making aliyah - you already know who to ask. Are you sure you are ready to emigrate there? Why not go there as a volunteer for 6 months before deciding? You have to be 18 at least, but above 24 you'll only serve an abridged service. You can even volunteer prior to making aliyah; if you do that that you would serve less time while getting full credit.
