The use of rubber bullets is to be used only at 50 meters and is to be shot towards the legs .... as you can see the IDF does not care. They then shoot the Israeli Goldtein in the head with the rubber bullets and leave him on the gorund to die... they argue over calling an ambulance, they waited over 15 minutes to help him.yes there are good Israelis out there.... and their own brothers treat them the same as they do the Palestinians, with no compassion at all. In the West Bank no anti Israeli activity is allowed and if they were caught they would be torturred in jail for years untill they drive them to insanity and let them free. I doubt the video itself gives a balanced look to the incedent, but I agree it does seem troubling. From what I saw I can't say that I agree with this unit's actions and if it was in my hands I would order a complete army inquiry. I would like to point out that this was not the first day of demonstration and that in fact many have happened before that day. The video does not say what happened in those previous demonstrations, and all because it shows no "evidence" of stone throwing doesn't mean there was none. Somehow in a 6 minute video the medic that it took 15 minutes to call arrived, meaning that there is footage that has been removed from said video. Incriminating or not I cannot say. What I did notice was that some of the protesters asked to disperse did react violently, so I'm not so willing to just trust this organization's assessment that these demonstrations are known as peaceful. Last thing, I think it unfair to generalize from this incedent or from these 10 soldiers about the whole Israel Defense Force. 1. This is travel section - why don't you post it in current events. It seems that now that Israel is not starring in current events all of you anti-Israeli (like that bizzare adamska), are trying to provoke people in this forum. 2. "Anti-war activists"? Gee, I didn't know that's what they call such people. Wouldn't the word " anarchists" is much more suitible? Those people who demonstrate illegaly every week are no freedom fighters. They are simply anti-Israeli anarchists who joined palestinians to provoke the army and the police, just praying that they would respond with force. Of course they have pre-invited the press or brought their cameras so the IDF would provide exactly what they want - media coverage. As always treating videos as "as it happened" is very dangerous". What do you expect them to do? just wait till someone is seriously injured. In fact, many times the soldiers are injured, like one who lost his eye from a stone, but it doesn't manage to cross through the editors of the mainstream media does it?
