Can i get a motor scooter or motor cycle on rent at israel for 10-20 days? |

Other Travel Tips I am not familiar with the laws pertaining to motor cycle usage in Israel, but I would recommend consulting with representatives from one of the major car rental agencies there, such as El Dan. They are probably better suited to answer your question. I recommend against riding a motorcycle in Israel, as driving there can be exceptionally dangerous, especially if you are on something as light-weight and unprotected as a motor scooter/cycle. You will have to check with your travel agency about that but it is likely that your license will be valid in Israel. There are three types of two-wheel license in Israel: 1- up to 50 cc 2- up to 500cc 3- without limitation. Again, you need to check what's your equivalent license for Israel. As far as I know there are no motorbike rentals in Israel, since no insurance company is willing to deal with that. The route you'll take, assuming you'll get a motorbike, is excellent for fun drive with a bike, and in fact it is one of the unofficial and illegal race location for heavy bikers in Israel. It is characterized by very tight curves and steep climbes, so it's a lot of fun but also dangerous if you are not well trained with bikes, as you will see all the monumentals on the sides of the road for all those who crashed there. I think you will need a strong bike for those steep climbes. I think purchasing a bike here is not a good option since bikes are very expensive in Israel. If you have a bike perhaps you should consider bringing it with you. |
