Hotel in Jerusalem - recommendations? |
Travel Info Can you recommend a good hotel in central Jerusalem? I would like to find a hotel as close as possible to the city center and with a budget of about $125/night. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated. Travel Tips I have been this year in the Novotel Jerusalem and it was really okay. Its situated in 9 st. George Street, 79200 Jerusalem (if you have a map take a look) It麓s in the center, but a lateral street, a good strategical point to move. Really just a few minutes to walk to Old Jerusalem and also near all sight seeing places. Rooms are not very big but always very clean and functional. I had a good view from my room. What happens is, that there are many large groups allocated there. Breakfast was okay. Dinner not so good Anyway I just had 1 dinner there on arrival day, as I prefer to eat out with friends. The hotel bar was good and prices really fair. there is also a pool (wasn麓t open in February of course) and business center with Internet connection, etc. Call the hotel directly and ask for vacancy and prices: (+972)2/5320000 + mail: jerusalem@novotel.co.il Others you can find a decent hostle. most hotels are not worth it go to the old city and stay in the petra hostle. or even if you are jewish stay in the heritage house for free.petra hostle is by jaffa gate. and he hertaige house, i forgot the street, but ask a shop owner in the jewish quarter. lived in israel 04-06 I just got back from Jerusalem, There is a good hotel (3 Star) opposite Damascus Gate by name Golden Walls (Tulip Inn); You can book them via expedia.
