If Zionists created the state of Israel, is everyone in Israel a Zionist?

Travel Info
Is saying Zionist and The Zionist State of Israel offensive to Jews or Israelis? or would that be correct?

Travel Tips
Not everyone in Israel is Zionist.
The Israeli Arabs are not, for instance, and so are some of the Ultra-religious Jews- each group with its reasons. Most Israelis, however, do consider themselves Zionists.

The word "Zionist" isn't offensive for itself, but we are not used to hear it outside Israel in positive contexts; sort of like the ethnic slur that the word "Jew" became in some areas and societies.
Saying "the Zionist State of Israel" won't be wrong, it would just be terribly unnecessary. This kind of wording, although not offensive, clarifies the speaker's negative attitude towards Israel.
Others
The state of Israel was created by the United Nations.
You wouldn't refer to 'The Zionist state of Israel', you'd just say Israel.

In Israel there are a multitude of opinions about politics and religion; most people are zionists in the sense that they know they have a right to this tiny country. But there are many different factions and approaches to all these issues.
It is better to say just Israel. Of the Jews in Israel, most consider themselves Zionist, though their approaches to politics are all different. The word "Zionist" is not a bad one, though it is being used as such. The word has been twisted and corrupted to imply racism and hate by those who are against it. Also, it functions as a way for people to say bad things about the Jews without being considered racist (not that all people who criticize Zionism do this, but there are certainly some whose critique of Zionists is really a racist tirade against Jews). In short, you can call anybody a Zionist, but call the country by its name - Israel.
Not everyone is a zionist.

And Israel is formally known as the State of Israel - that is its correct and recognized name. Zionism has nothing to do with that name.
If it wasn't offensive, ahmedinejad wouldn't be saying it again and again and again.
Zionism and true Judaism contradict one another. I do not personally see how a person can claim to be both.
