Do these words of the Zionists represent YOU? |
Travel Info The Jewish People are absolutely opposed to any injury against the Arab nation. The Arab nation never harmed the Jewish People until the advent of Zionist nationalism. The Jewish People are commanded by the Torah to seek the peace of the governments where they are citizens, and not to rebel against any nation, G-d forbid, especially when this concerns the Holy Land, to which we are forbidden to engage in mass immigration. Jews who follow the Torah are not even suspected of murder or any injury against any person, and we are severely prohibited from engaging in any violent action, including in relation to the struggle over Palestine. Judaism is totally opposed to nationalism, and in fact Jews have refused to move to the Zionist state even though the state proclaims itself as the representative of the Jewish People. Travel Tips I find your contribution valuable and interesting You represent yourself just as I represent myself if I have a view on Israel/Palestine Others No, on acount of me not being a Zionist or even Jewish! This is YA Uk and Ireland, you know! I'm not Jewish, I follow no religion. I accept what you say and agree with you wholeheartedly about Zionist nationalism. You appear to imply that the vast majority of Jews, both within & without Israel, are required by their religion to seek peace with Arab nations. How , then, have successive Israeli governments been returned with an agenda of increasingly outrageous mistreatments of the Palestinians, the Lebanese et al? What sort of democracy acts in such a manner & how do these regimes (eg.Sharon) get voted in in the first place? Who on Earth are you talking about? George, you clearly don't understand what Zionism is about as you are mixing up a bunch of different, unrelated topics....Please stop pretending to be a Jew... First of all, the Arab nation definately did harm the Jewish people well before the advent of Zionist nationalism. Does the massacre of the Saudi Jews by Muhammed ring any bells? Learn some history, my misguided friend. Judaism is not opposed to violence. "Haba lehorgecha - hashkem lehorgo" or in English "He who comes to kill you should be killed by you" or in other words self-defense. The historical fact that the Jewish kingdoms had armies and fought wars only reinforces the point that Judaism is not a pacifist religion. It is however opposed to murder, which is a different point. Lastly, your sect of Judaism is very much in the minority - just thought I'd point that out. Listen to Michael. 1) Judaism is centered around Israel and sees Israel as its focal point. 2) Orthodox Judaism recognises the modern state- see the writings of HaRav Kook and others 3) Jews in ISlamic lands were dhimmi. They paid extra taxes, were not allowed to be in the army, police or government. They had to sit lower than a muslim, they were not allowed to worship in public and talking about their religion in public was a crime. A Muslim converting to Judaism was liable for the detah penalty. Dhimmi could not be witnesses against Muslims and as such a Muslim could do anything he liked to a Jew including rape, theft and murder as long as no Muslim observed him doing those acts. There were massacres and expulsions of jews across the Islamic world- just fewer than in Christian countries but they still happened. And guess what- there are still Muslim countries TODAY that regard Jews as dhimmi and allow them no rights. 4) The opinion that Satmar and other anti-Zionist sects is based on a minority opinion in a single source- which is not agreed to in the Talmud- nor is it seen as correct by the Rishonim or the Acharonim outside of those sects, nor is it agreed to by the Gedolei Hador such as harav Moshe Feinstein, Harav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, Harav Eliashav and others! 5) Judaism REQUIRES that you kill someone who is coming to harm you. The idea of 'Turning the other cheek" is from the wannabe messiah religion, it has nothing to do with Judaism. The commandment is "Lo Tachmud" - do not murder- killing in self defense and to protect others is not only allowed- it is required! |
