True Torah teachings...why are we being disobedient? |

Travel Tips Look it's true that there were and are big Rabbis and Torah-scholars who are against the Zionism because it's establishers were anti-torah, and anti-religion. Believe me, no Rabbi, not even Reb Yoel of Satmer (he was a great Torah scholar and Rav, and VERY anti-zionist) says to join the enemy. And even those who are anti-zionism sit in the Knesset and take some sort of part in the state affairs. Also on the other hand I can show you writings of great Rabbis who are for Zionism (unless it comes instead of keeping the torah and mitzvot) and say that we must take part in the building of a Jewish state because it's the beggining of the Jewish people's redemption (讗转讞诇转讗 讚讙讗讜诇讛). Rav Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook is the establisher of religious zionism and everybody (including Charedi rabbis) agrees that he was a great person. So in the end it's up to you to read the writing of Rabbis on both sides and decide for yourself with who you sympathize more. It's a 诪讞诇讜拽转 诇砖诐 砖诪讬诐. And go straight to the original texts, .Read the books of R' Yoel from Satmer, read the books of R' Kook, ask Rabbis on both sides about the two ways, and learn from them, and LEARN. The Neturei Qarta group, which numbers under 20 Orthodox Jews, does indeed object to the State of Israel. The other 99.999999999 percent of Jews throughout the world support Israel as the Jewish homeland--the only Jewish state in the whole wide world. You have your list of sources that say that settling Israel delays the Messiah, but I have a list of sources that says the exact opposite. You have your belief and views, and it is fine. I have my own. It doesn't mean that either of us is wrong or a "bad Jew", it simply means that we come from different Jewish attitudes towards Zionism. |
